Happy Valentine's day from our little love bug

Wyatt's first bite

Wyatt went to the doctor for his 6 month check up and we got the go ahead to start introducing solid foods to him. I decided that I would try and make his own baby food...so far I've made green beans and sweet potatoes. The green beans definitely took the longest to make because the skin on the bean is very hard to break down into a smooth puree. I figured that since I love green beans so much and because I labored over the stove, blender, and strainer to make them, we'd start them first.

What's that you got there? Food? Let's try it! 

Whoa...that's not like the milk I love so much. What's up with the texture? I don't know about this.

Ugh...you're going to make me eat more?

Aw....gross! NO MORE GREEN BEANS!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

That about sums it up. He's not the biggest fan of green beans. He is ok with squash and we're still unsure about the sweet potatoes. Next week it's carrots...stay tuned :) Until then, here's a video to relive the experience:

26 Weeks

Feeling froggy at 26 Weeks

5 Months...long over due

Here are Wyatt's long over due 5 months pictures...especially seeing as how he is now 6 months old! Time sure does seem to fly by! At 5 months, Wyatt is fully sitting up by himself and is even trying to crawl..."trying" being the operative word here. He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. So far, the only progression in terms of movement has been backwards, but that means he's mobile and it's tough to get him to sit still for pictures :)

A Day at the Park

It was such a beautiful day so we took Wyatt and Hailey to the park. They had this giant yellow swing there so we put Wyatt in it for a little fun. As you can see...he LOVED it! He's really into his feet these days so he kept trying to grab them. He had the biggest smile every time he swung towards us so I had to snap a few pictures to document the moment. Hailey also enjoyed our little outing as we let her splash around in the water. We can't wait to go back!!!

Rubber Ducky, You're the One!

A friend of mine recommended this bathtub to me and said that her daughter, who is about a week older than Wyatt, loves it. It's an inflatable rubber duck that makes quacking sounds and all. Wyatt had basically outgrown his infant tub and needed something a little bit larger to lounge in, but he's not quite ready for the entire bath tub. As you can see from this picture, he LOVED it! 

25 Weeks

Wyatt is 25 weeks old and this is a picture of him at the grocery store riding in the big boy seat of the shopping cart for the first time. This is him thinking, "Uh Mom? Why is it thundering and raining on those veggies over there?" :) He loved his little ride around Publix and was so intrigued by EVERYTHING! On the contrary, all of the sweet ladies were pretty intrigued by him and his pinch-able cheeks!
