Happy Halloween

 

Happy Halloween from our little pumpkin to yours! Today Wyatt and I had a little photo shoot in the back yard for his first Halloween. Wyatt went as a horse this year and at the neighborhood Halloween party, he was by far the cutest! (Maybe I'm a little biased) Here are the pictures from Wyatt's first Halloween!!!

Beach Baby

 Last week we headed down to Anna Maria Island, Florida to take Wyatt to the beach for the first time. Grandma LiLi, Wyatt, and I drove down on Saturday and then Joe came down on Tuesday to join us. Wyatt did great both on the way down and on the way back. We only had to stop once during the 8 1/2 hour trip, and that was for lunch both ways. I got a little beach tent for Wyatt so that he would be out of the sun while we were on the beach, and we put his little activity mat inside the tent and he was as happy as a clam. He didn't seem to mind getting the sand between his toes either...looks like he's going to love the beach as much as his daddy and I do! Can't wait until our next trip when he's running around and building sand castles!!!

11 Weeks

Wyatt Rolls Over!!!

On October 19th, Wyatt rolled over from his tummy to his back for the first time!

Our Little Pumpkin!

Today we took Wyatt to the pumpkin patch to pick out his own pint sized pumpkin and let him experience his first taste of Fall. We picked his pumpkin right off the vine! We also got a 25.5 pound carving pumpkin so we can make our Halloween Jack-o-Lantern!

10 Weeks

Today Wyatt is 10 weeks old. Here he is with two of his buddies that he likes to play along with. He's really into toys that sing and light up. He also has a new trick...he can roll over from his tummy to his back. Check out the video below!

We're really going to have to keep an eye on Mr. Wyatt as he's going to start crawling before we know it!

2 Month Check Up

Today Wyatt had his 2 month check up and his first round of shots, other than the few that he had while we were in the hospital. I wanted to take a before and after picture, but I wasn't able to get an after picture as he only reacted to the shot for about 1 minute. These are the before pictures. We were playing the tongue game where I stick my tongue out and then Wyatt sticks his out. Love this face!

Here are his stats:

Weight - 13 pounds! (68th percentile)

Height - 23 1/2 inches (58th percentile)

Head Circumference - 16 inches (56th percentile)

Wyatt got a thumbs up from the doctor and flirted with nurses...what a ham!!!

New discovery

So it looks as if Mr. Wyatt has found his thumb. Here is how I found him in his crib this morning...

The good news is, he's now sleeping through the night and doesn't require Joe or I to come and put his pacifier back into his mouth as he's found a way to soothe himself back to sleep :)

Weekend in Charlotte, NC

This past weekend we went up to Charlotte, NC to visit Reid and Catherine Waller and their little girl, Daly.  Wyatt is exactly one week older than Daly but looks HUGE compared to her. I picked up Daly after holding Wyatt and she felt as light as a feather! Looks like our little guy isn't going to be so little for long! Here is a picture of Wyatt (left) and Daly at the table of the Mexican restaurant we ate at on Friday night.

We also took Hailey with us because Reid and Catherine have her sister, Chloe. Here is a picture of Chloe watching Wyatt as he plays on his activity mat.

Wyatt did great on the car ride up to Charlotte and slept for the entire 3 hour drive. On the way back, he slept most of the way but was ready to stretch out and quickly became frustrated with the confines of his car seat.

At least Hailey seemed to be enjoying herself :)

9 weeks old

Today Wyatt is 9 weeks old and look at him, he can pick my head up 45 degrees while lying on his tummy! Most babies tend to acquire this skill in the 3rd month, but Wyatt is only 2 months!!! Sooner or later, he's going to crawl right off the mat!!!

2 months old!!!

Happy 2 month birthday sweet boy! Where has the time gone? At two months, you are just a ball of personality and your cute smile melts our hearts! Here is what you are doing now that you are 2 months old:

• Smiling all the time and you laughed for the first time on your 2 month birthday

• You LOVE to play on your activity mat and look at the flashing lights and hit all of the dangling objects with your hands and feet

• You seem to enjoy going for walks in the stroller and fall asleep in the middle of our strolls most of the time

• You slept through the night for the first time on the night of your 2 month birthday...11pm to 6:30am! 

• When mommy sticks out her tongue at you, you can stick yours out back at her

• You can sit up in your Bumbo chair as seen in the picture below

• You love to take baths now

I can't believe how fast you are growing. You are almost getting too heavy for mommy to carry you in your carseat...seriously, I think you weigh close to 12 pounds already! You are drinking 5 oz at each feeding, sometimes 6oz! That's what some 10 month olds drink! You make all sorts of oohs and ahs when playing with your toys, having your diaper changed, and when you look at mommy and daddy. You always wake up happy and you love to cuddle!

We love you Wyatt! Happy 2 month birthday little buddy!
